J.A.M. Awards
The J.A.M. awards are the first awards in the hip-hop community to recognize social responsibility. Every year one honoree from the world of hip hop will be selected from the fields of social justice, the Arts and one from Music. They will be selected on their record of helping others. The Jam Master Jay Foundation for Music is a non-profit organization created by JMJ's wife, Terri Corley-Mizell, along with some of Jay's closest friends. The foundation is dedicated to providing funding and resources to support free public school music education programs. It is committed to enriching the lives of inner city school students through the contribution of resources to enable, create and/or improve in school or after school music education programs.
